Squad looks stronger but would have traded that all in for that tittle winning goalscorer.
You'd trade it ALL in? So Bruno, Bridge, Crofts, Hammond, Lopez and Dobbie, for 1 striker? That's a bit silly.

oops - and Orlandi!

A crucial point that most NSCers have overlooked , aren't they aware of what he did at Swansea and Blackpool ?

Yes, i was very impressed with him for Blackpool. I remember watching the play-off final in which they were desperately unlucky to lose. He was the one player that stood out to me. I wished at the time he was ours.

Roberts ,lambert, and holt that is the sort of striker that gets you out of this league.

Are you suggesting that we just need someone to lump it forward to? Someone in the mold of Sam Vokes or Billy Paynter?

We don't need a physical presence up front, we need someone who will regularly put the ball in the back of the net, someone with an eye for goal. Dobbie is a proven goalscorer at the top end of the championship. A play off specialist. Just the kind of player we are looking for.

Not Bruno or bridge but only Lopez really excites me about 2nites signings.
Dobbie has done well enough before to give us hope too, but ignoring that - we weren't a bad team last year, looked like we'd make the playoffs before failing in the end, and we've made massive - seriously massive improvements to our squad. It may take a while to gel, but we can challenge with what we have.

No

and TOO f***ing RIGHT. Vastly superior players to stroppy little waster Hammond.
At least we agree on one thing. With reference to Hammond, let's put the past behind us, he's got loads of experience, box to box, powerful in the air which is one area we lack in midfield at present. I wouldn't be to suprised to see him start on a regular basis. We are on the verge of playing 4-3-3.

Over there
I'm very pleased with our business tonight and I stand to be corrected but Dobbie will do the business and with C.M.S and Barnes, we don't need anyone else up front.
Coupled with the very attacking midfield and lets not forget attacking defence, why do we need a lump up front on loan?

But I wouldn't call Zamora lambert holt and Roberts lumps, our best players in are squad are midfielders so u want someone up top to bring them into the game.

We don't really play 4-3-3 at the moment. CMS is a lone striker with Barnes withdrawn. To be honest I get confused with formations, diamonds, christmas tress'. My point is play three in midfield Bridcutt, Crofty, Hammond with Bruno and Bridge playing at wing backs and three outright upfront.

What ever happens, it's going to be a fantastic season to watch the Albion, it's certainly going to be entertaining.

not sure we have missed out on a striker - has gus ever played 442? i just dont see him buying a big striker to play with CMS. The plan seems to be pass the opposition to death if that doesnt work pass it some more. I for one think we will be awesome. Good business today seems like more class is in the squad. Orlandi and Dobbie from the school of pass it at Swansea, Lopez cant be a mug playing in la liga and hammond is quality at this level. All good imo.

Listen to Stephen dobbie interview, he classes himself as a hold-up player, that is what I thought we wanted, don't need to be big.

I'm thinking that with Hammond playing ahead of the ball we will have the height linking defense and attack and able to hold the ball up. He may well prove as crucial as he is unpoplular with some

Agree.
Pass into the empty net in a 5-1 Barnsley/Barcelona Stylee.
Vokes and Painter were failures and went on to prove the point that big lumps dont work in a Passing team.
Ask Barcelona !!
IMHO
