Sorry, not sure what Potter can do if we squander chances like that today.

For most other teams at home, half decent/competent finishing and you’ve a comfortable 3 points. Manager has us set up creating chances. The fact so many of them couldn’t hit a barn door with a banjo is seeing us in real trouble:

It’s not just about today though is it! His stats would get 99% of managers the sack! He has won 6 games all season and none in 2020! there is obviously an issue within the squad and I would suggest they are losing respect for him!

I thought on the whole we did ok today. We started the second half well and were dominating them. Then Potter decided to change the formation and bring Muzz on. Then it went a bit pear shape. Not sure what he was thinking with that but, we go again next time UTA.

Quality of the squad. Can’t keep blaming managers. We’re buying speculative talents hoping theyll come good. We’re trying to do the PL on the cheap and this is what it looks like. Put whoever you like in charge.

Everybody else's fault and not Potter's. Seems to be a trend on here.

I don’t understand how people can post during the game but there you go so tend to avoid the official match thread until afterwards and then wish I hadn’t looked! Yes it was a disappointing result and has undoubtedly increased our chances of the drop but that’s the reality of our position in the grand scheme of things - the wage bill of the PL teams very closely mirrors league position so despite the generosity of TB we are always likely to be in this territory - it may not be romantic and yes occasionally teams will surprise - Leicester a few years back, SU this season - but not many.
I remain 100% supportive of GP as I was 100% supportive of CH. It’s my club and always will be. If we go back down it’s because we’ve not been good enough. Come on Albion - we can do it. Keep the faith

His ‘kid in a sweatshop’ experimenting is costing us. He only had 38 matches, say half genuinely winnable to get it right. The constant tinkering, playing off form players, not playing in form players or specialists, is imho naive and threatens to cost TB an unbelievable sum of money. Talk of future top 10 seems further distant by the week, Championship football closer by the week.

1. Alzate’s been the star of the season, so start with him.
2. Bernardo’s our outstanding specialist LB, so star with him.
3. Montoya can rarely defend for 90 minutes, lacks pace in defence, lacks positional sense in defence. Play anyone but him.
4. Stephens is our only true DM with the discipline to make that his own for 90 minutes, so start with him.
5. Mooy’s been out of form for 2 months, so why play him?
6. Propper is a defensive liability (as we saw today, again), so push him into a more forward CM position.

Potter has the coaching badges, but perhaps us punters can sometimes see the blindingly obvious?

I've liked what I’ve in general this season, but Potter doesn’t seem very streetwise, sometimes you need to play a different game.

One thing is a certainty, doesnt matter how good the manager is, shit players are shit players.

He has a better squad than Hughton had for the first 2 year. The squad is good enough to stay up. The manager is not good enough to stay up!

What does any of your points 1 to 6 change today given we created plenty of chances? On 60mins the game should have been wrapped up with a bow on it.

This isn’t like last season where chances were few and far between. Today demonstrated why clubs spend big on goal scorers. What was exposed today was the lack of quality we’ve bought in.

It wasn’t the manager putting gilt edge chances wide or straight at the keeper.

Sometimes fans need to realise once they cross the white line, it’s up to them to perform at the highest level. Only so much a manager can do. He’s set them up and they created clear chances both halves. What more can he do?

For example, 6 (Propper) and no DM, gifted them the winner.

Or maybe demonstrates why you shouldn’t let a proven striker go to Galatasaray because you don’t have the experience to handle him and then try and replace him with a pint size youngster that would have been much better suited going on loan to a championship club!
GP has (apparently) a say in transfers. He has constantly said he is happy with the squad. He hasn’t managed to get goals from the strikers or midfielders ...... mainly because we try to walk the ball in!

Did we? I thought for the most part we had no bloody idea wtf to do with the ball once we got into the final third. So easy to defend against
