We have the best stewards in the league . . . simply because he passed the time of day with you?

I started the thread as a little tongue in cheek piss-take about the massive love-in between the fans and anything and everything thing to do with the club at the moment. Even Richie Reynolds got his own thread! I was intentionally trying to be over the top. Seems I unwittingly pinpointed another area in which the club has majorly improved upon.Long may it continue.

Bit of a strange thread... So you said "alright" to somebody (who happened to be a steward) and they said "hello" back?

Why would you make a thread on this?

It's known as human interaction... Why would you make a thread on this?

Look closely. He answers this DIRECTLY above your post.

If it helps, Wellesley, I understood your joke.

Couple of women in WSL 2 or 3 rows in front of us brought their beers in. It looked like the (usually a bit officious) chief steward in the corner saw them, but did nothing. Remarkable......

Regarding taking drink up to your seat, I have wandered past the stewards in WU several times with a red wine in my hand. OK its in a small plastic cup, but it is see through. Perhaps they think it's Ribena:lolol:

Steward in the entrance to F block in the WSU yesterday was very chatty, telling me all about the Worthing United game that he (and many other stewards) went to following the Shoreham crash.

Probably the first time I've ever had a conversation with a steward that didn't involve where to sit, where not to sit, why I shouldn't stand and so on. Nice chap.

Fans standing areas are never going to happen hopefully!, It's archaic. It's a myth that you create more atmosphere standing.

Are you fishing? I can't really tell. All I know is I have never once joined in or started a chant when sitting down, maybe it's just me.

Feel free to take your archaic little opinion and shove it up your arse, violently. :tosser:

Call me naive but I think the OP was being facetious. Anyway, bit rude for a 'moderator' aren't you?

Whatever, I can only say that 'Stan' in East Upper around seats numbered 500 was absolutely fantastic on a number of occasions.

I have been unable to attend recently but hope he is well. TOP MAN !
