Stewards - how much should they be TIPPED?

They shouldn't get tipped. Infact one of your lot threw me out yesterday with about ten minutes to go. I wasn't bothered as we we're playing awful anyway.

She had a run in with one of our drivers as well. He asked if there was anywhere he could have a quick fag, she said something along the lines of "If you want a fag, its that way" - pointing towards the exit and grimacing as if she's great because she's wearing the jacket and think she's hollier than thou.

I've seen a lot worse though. Your stewards were fairly sound apart from that one with, nevermind a chip, more like a potato on her shoulder.

What was the reason for you being thrown out?

The lady didnt say it exactly right, but she was right. All stadiums now are non smoking

I know that, but she was one of them who came across better than everyone else. You'll know the types.

Her reasons were because I had a sarcastic sense of humour- I think. I genuinely wasn't too bothered though, as I wasn't too fussed. We were losing, playing crap and I was drenched. God knows how you lot put up with that stadium every week.

Yeah sure - QPR are the worst for that sort.

That's a rubbish excuse!! I don't put up with it every week anymore - it's too depressing!

Got one of those as well!

"Stewards with regular day jobs, how do they DO it??" :bigwave:

Not a clue, can't for the life of me work out the mind set of someone that wants to be a steward? My only thoughts are a) you are a pikey b) were bullied at school and enjoy the "power".

May I suggest trying out as a traffic warden!

I think at 180 degrees to the ground from a height of no less than 40 feet.

:)

Seriously though. The stewards at Withers are top people. Dunno why some fans choose to get their knickers in a twist about 'em.

exactly compared to the twats of stewards we have to put up with on the road such as Crewe & Norwich (who i'm SURE got their stewards straight after they finished working the concentration camps and didn't bother retraining them!) are stewards are ANGELS!

I think this comment says more about YOU than it does about stewarding.

As a percentage of the ticket price, or a fixed service charge included?

Discuss.....

Definitely as a percentage of the ticket price because then all of the dirty, stinking, unwashed stoodents, the under 16s and pensioners won't have to dip into their pocket money too much.
