Should be a good signing for us at this level , who will make way for him in the team?

Hemed is the obvious candidate especially for away games.

Once Bong is back how is this for a side?

Stockwell

Bruno Greer Dunk Bong

Stephens Kayal Sidwell

Knockeart Zamora/Wilson Lua Lua

Subs

Rosenior Goldson/Hunnemeir Crofts Murphy Wilson/Zamora Hemed

That's a team that can go up automatically and what a subs bench!

Lovely signing. No need for Ince to come off the bench or even be on the bench now! Play two of the three 95% of the time and have Crofts/JFC to back them up.

Just a striker needed although I fear unless it's a top one that we won't bother. Quality or nothing........... let's hope it's the former!

Baldock?

That first XI does look excellent.

Rosenoir is a better defender than Bruno , and just as good going forward so I would have him starting as full back along with Bong as the other

That would be a disaster. Where did you hear that?

Someone within club relatively close to the players. If you think back to when Kayal was fouled he stayed down for quite a few seconds, flat out.

I watched him for a few mins after that and he was stretching the hip area on and off, so I think it is a legitimate worry.

Hopefully rest required more than anything else.

He did at Rotherham when we had our current full roster of wingers/attackers fit and available.

If another striker is signed then agreed - Hemed, Wilson, Zamora, Baldock + 1 won't all make the 18.

Yes, but the whole point is we didn't have Sidwell then. The point of discussion was the matchday squad with Sidwell included.

Welcome home Sid. A great player when here first time round (but we were too slow to land him on a perm, as ever, then got gazumped by Reading). I hope / expect he still is.

Think CH will start with two from Kayal, Stephens and Sidwell, with the one on the bench coming on to bolster midfield if we're protecting a lead or in case of injury etc - Saturday would have been a good example when Stephens went off (where previously Crofts or Ince would have been used). Can't see him deviating from 442. I also wouldn't be leaving Goldson out now either even if GG is fit.

Stockdale
Bruno/Goldson/Dunk/Bong
Knockaert/Stephens/Kayal/LuaLua
Wilson/Zamora

Subs - Maenpaa, Sidwell, Greer/Uwe, Murphy, Rosenior, Hemed/Baldock

I agree - 2 from 3, with rotation for injuries / to keep them fresh / to save them from themsleves when they are trying as hard as they can to get a second yellow - yes that's YOU Beram.

Against Huddersfield Kayal went down injured and appeared to be holding his groin more than hip so all around me assumed he had strained his groin. As regards Sidwell I believe that he will be played in the hole between midfield and strikers to support either as needed.
