The Grockle
Formally Croydon Seagull
He comes across as a bit of a prat but I didnt really take it as a dig more of a subtle realisation that they themselves would need to attract fans from other clubs in the way we have (to an extent) I dont subscribe to the notion we have thousands and thousands of Man U fans amongst us at the Amex bit there are probably a fair nunber who saw the Albion as their second team two years ago.
As for the comment about averaging 35k why is it so unrealistic? Selhurst park is run down and relatively expensive for the facilities offered and there's no denying the local catchment has fallen out of love with the club but there is a very recent history of decent crowds, a new stadium would double their gates IMO and add a bit of success more would dump their armchair support of the big London clubs to watch football in Croydon. Croydons population makes up 5% of London and other neighbouring boroughs have no pro football teams much like us their potential is huge.
