I dont think he has retired. He's considering re-writing Salem's Lot (working tiltle 'Slades Lot').

Actually he has a new book out later this month called "Under the Dome". Could be about the goings on in Slades head.

If you actually have a brain you'd know that King was bankrolled with money that should have gone into upgrading the dripping pan to conference standards and on VAT whereas it went on mercenary strikers. King was sacked, the money disapeared and so did the mercenaries.

We'd be better off with Slade in charge
King had new players virtually every other game at Lewes, (he acted at an agent in the transfer deals and took a cut each time a new player joined - a bit dodgy imo)
The standard of football played was poor, the playing style he had wasn't right for Div 1 football. He left the coaching to others and alot of the time wasnt even present at training.
We need a good manager with league experience not someone like King, or for that matter anyone like Oatway, or Barnes as others have suggested elsewhere

Not only that, hes too busy with training my 8 yr old on Friday afternoons at his junior school! About his level, me thinks.
