Gus making the lads take 25 yard rocket shots vs Casper/Brez in training square on for that one then.

it's going to be tough , however it's cliche but this season we need to concentrate on the league first and foremost.

(that's not to say I wouldn't love a result again them)

Year after year of his and Lampard's England careers wasted by playing both of them instead of either of them. That plus his positional indiscipline when asked to "do a job" (left midfield last World Cup that he only lined up before kick off) have rendered him largely ineffective. Obviously an excellent player when given holding midfielders to do his defensive work for him or when faced with vastly inferior opposition.

Depends on the team Liverpool play. Without Lucas (who did not play against Exeter) we have got home advantage, the Indian sign and Lua lua.

One of the top performers in the Premiership over the last decade, regardless of what people with an agenda against him may tell you.

Looking forward to seeing him play in the flesh.

The Championship.
Pretty amazed at the response of some posters in this thread, not too sure what Gerrards done to deserve that kind of criticism, has been a great player for England, one of the best players for us in the last decade or so, not to mention he's been captain too. Seems like a nice genuine guy too to me? Would love to see him play at the Amex.

Im not criticising him, if anything I think he is one of the best midfielders England have had in a long time but its pretty unfortunate that he has been injured. I rate him as if not the best but one of the top 5 best midfielders in the world ( when on form ) but after just coming back from a long time out I don't think he will be as good as alot of people are making out..

Lucas plays the same role as Lampard (sort of). Thye might muck it up. Although with Dalglish in charge, it is a different matter. Who will Gerrard go to at the end of the season?

Stevie Gerrard always seems a decent guy in his interviews and has never forgotten his roots unlike some England footballers. I think he's left it too late to join a bigger club with his talent, like Le Tissier, although he's won every trophy with Liverpool apart from the Premier League.

Disappointed.

Here & there
Will be great to see one of this countries best midfielders of the past decade or so. I hope he gets a warm reception from true football fans not the constant booing and insults from the brain dead neandathols.

I doubt he'll play the whole game but it will be a huge lift for the Liverpool team, Can see him playing 70 minutes or so.

I always find it very odd......that despite all being fans of football (I'm guessing)...that the chance to see one of the games top players is met with so much derision. Yeah.....granted.....the Albion winning is always priority. But surely the chance to see SG playing at the Amex is something exciting in itself. Over the years there have been several 'legends' of the game line up against the Albion, some past it.....some still in their prime......keagan springs to mind. I'd like to think that many young Albion fans are looking forward to seeing Liverpool walk out next week and play against the team they support. If gerrard does play......I think it will be a great night......and I'm sure there will be many of the players who hope he starts too!!

Fair enough but the only team he's played for that I care about is England and he's been shit for years when playing for them.

He also has a very small forehead.
