I read somewhere I think that it was a choice of either playing or commentating and he couldn't stand the thought of listening to John Parrott going on about horse racing for 2 weeks!

I don't get it. Why would simply getting older make someone less good at snooker than when they were younger. I mean, it's not like it's a real sport where you have to be young, super fit and energetic now is it.
