No thanks, what we need is some proper Brighton people to give the club it's identity back.

There's no way Wilkins will be offered the job so all of you saying you want him, forget it. IF Slade is sacked, which must be a real possiblilty, it has to be Coppell. And this time he must be given the chance to bring his own backroom team with him.

Why would Coppell want this job, why would Curbishley want this job. Why would Bloom want Wilkins. Get real people. Seriously, who is going to replace Slade?

Dont want Coppell back, he knew what he was doing when he left Reading the players were not good enough to mount a challenge. Wouldnt expect or want Dean Wilkins back.
Hasnt Curbishley turned down other jobs as he is sueing West Ham for a small fortune.

A suggestion on another thread (new manager rumours )of Ian Dowie wouldnt be a bad choice.

IF Slade goes and Coppell wants the job, give it to him.

Of course there is the "don't go back" argument, but unlike Micky, Coppell has achieved at a higher level since he left us and could certainly do the proverbial job now. Lest we forget he only chose Reading over us because at the time we were in limbo over the stadium and so over our future as a whole which is clearly now not the case.

He's well respected and he is a proven managerial talent at a higher level than where we currently find ourselves and should he show an interest if/when Slade departs, we'd be fools not to take him up on it.

On the face of it, of course you'd say that if he were looking to get back into football he'd be aiming for a Championship club but it is, as they say, a funny old game sometimes.

Personally i like slade, a great character and a good guy but i'm not enjoying the results so far this season and it is HIS team now... i wish him well as i think he is a good manager. Things are simply not working out...

I agree.

I, for one, have no anger whatsoever towards Slade, it just simply doesn't seem to be working for him this season.
