I’ve said before that he is living a millionaire lifestyle in Hove. He doesn’t need to work again. It has to be an offer he can’t refuse imo. Come on, he’s 49 and doesn’t really need it. Not sure I could be arsed/
Neither could I, but for them it’s not really about the money at all……..it’s ego, attainment, self-fulfilment, peer respect, narcissism, FOMO or whatever you want to badge them with, they’ll keep doing it. He’ll be back somewhere and soon.

Potter’s options will be reducing after missing out on the England and United jobs ( as if he had a real chance of them) and so I can see him being interested in this job. If he leaves it any longer then his stock will fall completely.
The Moder/ Lamptey conspiracy …. Not sure about that. Thought that West Ham were interested in Lamptey and Stuttgart in Moder, but I can see some rationale to it.
Not sure who Potter would bring in as his assistants as I thought they had all got new jobs.

You are right, it's like a drug, I've been told. I do wonder why but theres nought so strange as folk as they say up north. I mean, why would you? We are assumuing he is like the fanatics that are Ferguson, Wenger, Ancelotti and Guardiola. I don't think he is in that class.

No different than any other industry though 🤷‍♂️

It’s not that crazy they were pathetic against Chelsea especially the first half.
I didn't see that, but 45 mins of patheticness shouldn't be punished, that said didn't Adams cut Kuipers at halftime once!

Potter went up to 5/1 on SkyBet earlier but is now the 5/4 favourite. Perhaps only a little money has gone on him but he does seem the obvious choice.

They were very poor in the first half but improved a lot in the second half and could arguably had two penalties. Unfortunately Chelsea are actually playing as a team this year and are vastly improved since last Season.

You forget that there were more than a few on here championing Cooper as RDZ’s replacement!

Please quote any idiots who did.

Björn Hamberg is an assistant coach at Feyenoord. Ben Roberts is still at Chelsea as their head of global goalkeeping (whatever that means). Bruno and Billy Reid are both out of work, I'd expect Reid to go wherever Potter eventually ends up.

I know you like a good old fashioned conspiracy theory old bean, so here is one to get your teeth into……..

Moder and Lamptey did not make the bench against Southampton with the likes of youth team players such as Samuels preferred.

They both walk away for free in 7 months unless deals can be done in January.

The club received a confidential bid from Leicester City last week for the double transfer of Moder and Lamptey to Leicester.

The bid is competitive and Hürzeler has been told to avoid using the pair if possible.

Leicester made the move knowing that FFP serverely restricts their spending this January, right wingers Fatawu and De Cordova-Reid are out for the foreseeable and that the manager who has got the very best out of Moder and Lamptey is on his way to the Foxes.
Did you just make this up or hear a rumour?someone yesterday (may have been you?!) said about no injuries to these before Jan and it seemed just a tad far fetched and unlikely to me.

Isn’t Lamptey injured again and the youths were on the bench as there’s no other fit defenders also - hence no room for Moder?

The daft decision was appointing him in the first place. Was unpopular from the off.

Potter might be a decent appointment, if he fancies it. Similar sized club to us. He probably thinks he's too big for them now though.
Recently won the FA cup and Premier League.

But not in the same season so, yeah, same sort of size as us.

I still say he has more money than you can shake a stick at. Why put yourself through it? He doesn’t strike me as the most driven of people. We are all different of course but very few are that driven. i found that 50 years of age very transforming. All of a sudden I couldn’t give a shit what people thought and my career, such as it was was flat lining. It didn’t really matter and actually became a lot more fun. We are all different.
The man who foundered as a player so worked his way up from the lower leagues, in a foreign country, and did a degree in emotional intelligence because he had the insight to realise he had little, is not driven?

Chinny recon?

Yes I take your point but he is 49 which is not old but trust me he has seen it, done it, got the T shirt. What does he have to prove? He is not a Fergie, Wenger etc, he has had a great life, adventure if you like and doesn't need much more. Obviosly I am looking at it from my perspective and by 50 I was very pleased with myself! I think Graham could feel the same, that's all I am saying.

Did you just make this up or hear a rumour?
The first two statements are seemingly facts according to easily available information about the lengths of Moder and Lamptey’s contracts.

The rest is conspiracy theory (made up).

However, we know Fatawu has done his ACL, we know Moder had a medical booked at Leicester before Chelsea came in and plundered the PX deal involving KDH so they clearly fancy him. We know Leicester have FFP issues by looking at their summer spending.

Therefore, it seems reasonable to assume that IF Potter took over at Leicester, his limited transfer spend pot in January may well lead him in the direction of players nearing the end of their contract whom he could get on the cheap. It would make sense if he wanted tried and tested EPL players that he’d worked with before.
