You really do seem to be anti-RdZ…

Whatever, you or others feel, he got us to our highest ever finishing league position and took us to Europe.

Disappointing how it ended, but then he wanted to progress faster than we were prepared to….. fair enough on all sides.

Best focus on looking forward rather than backwards….
LOL People wiping out a season and a half of RDZ’s time here from their tiny brains.
His Graham never came close to achieving the highs of RDZ and it’s not sitting well with him🤣

We don’t know the full story with RDZ was he promised something he didn’t get? Easy to say he was the problem with the press narratives.
If Naylor was a decent Journalist he would get RDZ’s side of the story instead of blaming him for Fati.
You don’t need any narratives. Just listen to the pressers from January onwards, I suggest RDZ thought he was so good that he could moan, be woe is me and try and bully TB into changing his model by appealing to the fans. When it became clear that he wasn’t as good as he thought, he blamed TB, the players and the injuries. This approach seems to have worked for some, you won’t see me siding with the coach against the owner though

Tony Bloom interview and explanation in January was pretty clear on his position

The longer this goes on the more it shows it was a big mistake not to be able to come to an agreement with our most charasmatic manager ever who gave us the best ever entertainment

Maybe, but the season only finished a couple of weeks ago. I'm not expecting an appointment until early July and would prefer they take their time in getting the right appointment.

Possibly regarding player sales. Maybe promise isn’t the right word broken agreements.
Agreement = Promise IMO.

Possibly expectations weren't met, granted, but I'd be very surprised if the club moved the goalposts from where de Zerbi was told they would be.

That can only be your opinion, certainly not fact. None of us know what goes on behind closed doors.

Wouldn’t say that as no rush at the moment .

If it does turn out that we got rid of RDZ and swapped him with cooper then that will be a genuine wtf are we doing

I am more disappointed that RDZ didn’t lower his expectations a little, accept why things weren’t as good as they had been the previous season and trust in TB for another season. We’ll see but he may find his career has stalled if he wants better than Brighton and part of the reason could be his behaviour in the media when things started to go pear shaped. It seems Bloom was willing to overlook the outbursts but not be railroaded into breaking the model seeing as things seemed to have ended more amicably than we might have expected.

Shame, I fear the Albion and RDZ may find themselves both worse off because of it. A happy RDZ was fantastic, a surly RDZ was a bit of a nutter imo

Think you’re wrong it is more than just my opinion, it is clear RDZ put his grievances out there in the media and yes it should have been done behind the closed doors you mention, from RDZ side it wasn’t. The club did appear to keep backing him publicly through PB but maybe TB had made his mind up long before the end of the season

Here
He may well be someone who aligns better with Tony Bloom's aspirations for measured, gradual and sustainable premier league consolidation???

I can remember PB stating a while ago that wherever possible, when it came to making managerial appointments, the club would target applicants were out of contract or not currently employed,so they could avoid being held to ransom by other clubs, and having to pay compensation, a la the RDZ appointment.

If that is still the case what next? there can't be too many suitable targets out there, who are in that situation.
