But Palace managed to finish above us and we dropped points at home to Burnley and Sheff Utd, and got totally dicked away by the other relegated team.So let down he had a squad that even injury ravaged got to European knock out stages and the 3rd best league finish in our history.
Unfortunately like the 83 cup run, the European adventure papered over the cracks, we all probably knew once Moises went, that the squad wasn't strong enough or big enough to compete for the Top 7 and compete in both Europe and the FA Cup.
But every days a school day, and whilst they wont start wearing sack cloth and ashes, Messrs Bloom and Barber will privately admit mistakes were made, so I'm hoping the new manager, whoever it is, will have a busy summer on the recruitment front.
