Oh well, better than nothing.:drink:

Not sure about this one... but he did really well with Millwall just two seasons ago and you only have to look at when we signed Phil Stant for what bringing in an experienced old hand can do for the team.

I guess it can't hurt.

Border country.East Preston.
All he needs to do is hold the ball up,look up, and place a through-ball.He must be able to do that at least?

Can I just say about Repka - he has been class for us this season.
Toned down the temper and (touch wood) will continue his form that he has been doing all season. Has improved alot and good Championship defender now possilby Premiership.

He says he has intelligence and a good touch (I think this means he can trap the ball), and these two things seem to be lacking at the moment.

I cannot see him playing forward at West Ham: this would require stamina and chasing lost causes (hopelesss punts upfield out of defence). He could come in very useful, perhaps, for the next six home matches against not the best opposition.

Just one player who can trap the ball with his back to goal and then play the intelligent ball would be a godsend. His goalscoring record at Millwall was nearly one every two games. And MM knows what he can do.

Sounds like a good arrangement. If he is not quick enough as a player, he could always be sent to scout out the opposition?

Virgo's done a very good job, but he is still a defender. Maybe Claridge can play the right type of ball to release Knight. I'm not jumping around and turning cartwheels, but under the circumstances, MM's done a good job.

We're not committed (perhaps we should be though...) to keeping him, and it's on a week-by-week basis. If it works, great, it not, nothing really lost.

He has good ball control, holds play up and although always quite slow, he has got a good footballing brain and is very very fit. On Superstars, he showed up men 10 years younger. He has looked after himself very well.

Right now, he is better than not doing anything.

How you can excited about this is beyond me.

He's old and passed it. If you signed him about 4 years ago fair enough, but now?
I suppose he did set Weymouth on fire didn't he.

Mind you I've been blamed for setting your pier on fire.

And for those of you that reckon he'd walk into the Palace team then you've just proved my assumption that everyone in br*ght*n is clearly on drugs.

:smokin:

Best post from a Palace fan I've read on here, well done chap. Note to eagles#1; try humour instead of offensive wheelchair jibes.

I like the man Claridge, hope he does a job for us. Desperate times sometimes require desperate measures.

Hopefully it will give Knight a lift to know he is going to be partnered by an experienced and proven (albeit old!) centre forward.

He was absolute rubbish at Ninian Park last week. 17 year-old Joe Ledley tore him apart. Premiership my arse.
