I didn’t really think of this to be honest. And with RIP threads, whilst they are sad, they are rather meaningless if you don’t know the person in question. Hence I didn’t give much/any info.

That’s fine. No need to apologize. I was one of the three thread starters though. As I said in my opening post, I really didn’t know what to say. These deaths are a bit weird, some upset you a lot more than others.

Who ?

Although I read the news of his passing here and being "into" music, I knew of Steve mostly through poker where he is (was) very highly regarded.

He won 2 WSOP bracelets which is no mean feat and we played in the same WSOP event in May 2012.

Who ?

For a certain agegroup and a specific genre of music fans, the man was a genius.
Mainly famous as a producer of bands such as Nirvana, PJ Harvey, Wedding present.
Very influential and much revered.

But for me, his greatest work, was as the frontman for Big Black - an abrasive and irreverent American punk band.
