Stephen Ward deal NOT done (yet?)

Does anyone know how clubs pay their players?

We always talk about how much a player gets paid a week, but do they get paid every week i.e. 52 weeks of the year.

Or are they paid on a pro-rata basis i.e. just during pre-season and the season proper, so no payments from the end of the season 'til they return for pre-season?

Just curious!
They get paid monthly.

Seems the transfer fee is the sticking point now, maybe a deal has already been done with Ward ( and a medical completed).....

Ward is in limbo as Brighton and Wolves haggle over a transfer fee, while Doyle is left to ponder if QPR will ask him to return to Loftus Road after his successful loan spell ended there in May.

The first paragraph contradicts the fifth paragraph in that article.
The Republic of Ireland internationals Kevin Doyle and Stephen Ward remain unwanted, according to their club manager Kenny Jackett -

How can Ward be unwanted when we are haggling over his transfer fee?

Reckon it's along the lines of he's on 20k a week for another year and we only pay 10-15k MAX. Wolves refusing to pay 5k a week. Common sense says if they do but we pay 250k transfer fee or don't and we take him for free, give him a 2 year contract at 15k but a 250k signing fee.

Your figures are way out. He was on 13K a week at Wolves.

Maybe just remove the 'medical completed', unless we actually have a good source that it's true.

When I saw the new title, I thought there was some new hope :(
