On a kind of BOGOF offer, you mean?
Yes, that was the kind of deal I had in mind. Two paddys for der price of one to be sure!

They get paid monthly.Does anyone know how clubs pay their players?
We always talk about how much a player gets paid a week, but do they get paid every week i.e. 52 weeks of the year.
Or are they paid on a pro-rata basis i.e. just during pre-season and the season proper, so no payments from the end of the season 'til they return for pre-season?
Just curious!
Seems the transfer fee is the sticking point now, maybe a deal has already been done with Ward ( and a medical completed).....
Ward is in limbo as Brighton and Wolves haggle over a transfer fee, while Doyle is left to ponder if QPR will ask him to return to Loftus Road after his successful loan spell ended there in May.

Let's take Doyle too!

FFS. Can't we just get on with it? This pre-season is getting more and more frustrating as each day goes by.
Reckon it's along the lines of he's on 20k a week for another year and we only pay 10-15k MAX. Wolves refusing to pay 5k a week. Common sense says if they do but we pay 250k transfer fee or don't and we take him for free, give him a 2 year contract at 15k but a 250k signing fee.
They get paid monthly.
I agree. It's ridiculous. We haven't signed anyone for TWO DAYS
I understand Stephen Ward deal now done. Announcement within next 48 hrs.
Ok I'm gonna have a go - as of Monday 9am Steven Ward will be announced as our player within 72 hours #InTheKnow
Clearly not.
Still maybe...
Arrrggghhhh everytime this thread goes to the top of the page, i think we have signed him. So by bouncing this i'm raising someone else's hopes!!

same , can a mod change the title until such time
Maybe just remove the 'medical completed', unless we actually have a good source that it's true.Better?
