It's a shame this could not have been sorted quicker. I would guess that Ward's agent is negotiating hard with the club. The trip to Spain would have been the carrot on the stick to sign quickly. I do fear that this may take some time to resolve now. Alternatively it could be the fee, but I doubt Wolves want Ward ( & Doyle) hanging around getting bored whilst the rest of their squad head to Ireland for pre-season friendless. Hopefully I'm wrong and Stephen will be on a flight out to Spain in the next day or two.

My fav was a lad on twitter who retweeted the daily mail article with the mistake saying Lingard had already signed on loan then 20 mins later tweeted 'I've heard we re getting Lingard on loan'. When questioned that he just got it from the daily mail he said 'no I've heard this from somewhere else' riiight
