Unproven? 13 goals in 29 apps last season at the age of 22 in his first season at Championship level.

Yea he's so shit isn't he? :moo:
Yes unproven. He's played 2/3 of a season at Championship level. I've not said he's shit but £4m is a lot of money for such a lack of experience.

Admit it, if that was us spunking that much cash on a player with that much limited experience you'd be wetting your already soiled pants.

It's actually £3mill and did you lot not spend the same sort of money on CMS? He's not exactly been value for money has he?

If it suits your argument then yes it's £3m, which is still more than we paid for CMS. Your last sentence only goes to illustrate the point I'm making really, you're spending more on a player with less Championship experience and taking him straight to the Premier League ??

Rumoured to be up to £3 mill.
Good young championship player, just like we should be going for.

You'll need it when you're back down there next season.

I can put my hand on my heart and say, for £4m (£3m for you ), not jealous.

He looked very lightweight when he played against us in April. I thought when I watched him at Peterborough, what are they doing playing 9 year olds.
He really does look like a young boy, he is nippy, but got knocked off the ball very easy that night.

Dwight Gayle 13 goals in 29 games for Posh last season £4mill to Palace and Dobbie for £850k

Leonardo Ulloa 9 goals in 17 games for Brighton last season £2mill

Looks like Palace are throwing away their money now.

It's £3 million as confirmed on our boards by a reliable poster. If you were signing him you'd literally be creaming your pants and saying he's quality, admit it! Typical sour grapes.

I'd be disappointed if we spent 300k on him, let alone £3 million.

He's does a job in the Championship, on his day, but he's not a particularly inspiring Premiership signing.

I'm perfectly happy with CMS and Ulloa instead of him.

It's called POTENTIAL! Young, pacy and a good finisher who has scored goals at every level he has played. 300k? You're hilarious!

Not trying to be 'hilarious', I just simply don't rate him.

You said that we would all be creaming our pants if we signed him. I'm just showing you that's not the case. He would be the ultimate 'meh' signing for me.

You're most welcome to him, especially at that price.

Fergie jnr and the Posh chairman will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Funny, you say you'd far prefer Ulloa to Gayle yet in the Championship there goals to game ratio is almost identical but Gayle is 4 years younger and scored his goals for a team at the wrong end of the table.

I'm sure Barry Fry isn't laughing, he rates Gayle as the best player he's ever worked with so will be gutted he's going.

Not the real one
We've netted around £160 millon from this promotion and the Zaha cash, what you have listed is a mere drop in the ocean. Maybe we could be nice and lend you some, you need it after reporting hefty loses the last couple of years.

No you idiot, the bottom club in the prem gets 80million. The 160 figure was the amount of money the play off final was worth. 2 teams x 80 million. Although I hope you twats spend spend spend like you are getting 160m.

The bottom team gets £60m, and a further £60m over the following four years. On top of that you get money for extra televised games, increased merchandise, etc.

I'm not convinced this signing will come off, but it's highly exciting. He was excellent last year, and was phenomenal in the lower leagues. Unproven, but well worth a gamble. Like Oscar I suppose.

His championship record is equivalent to Ashley Barnes, and he was phenomenal in the lower leagues = 29 goals for Bishop's Stortford in the Conference North. So yes, highly exciting.
