What was his successor's name today? Let it ring loud and proud.

Hope his Christmas is as good as his standard of refereeing.

I still think Prosser's display was worse than yesterdays. Only just mind!

Plus the fact that he also pulled the racist card as a smoke screen to his particular poor display meaning that he was a liar as well as a shit referee.

He can go in the Albion Panthenon of Absolute C*** Refs along with Prosser and Kelvin Moreton. Despite the hundreds of awful refereeing performances seen in the lower divisions, those two knobends stand out as biased cheats, however please do add your own personal favourites with reasons why. Maybe a league table could be formed. I'd go for Prosser first as poster above said purely due him lying about us the fans, Moreton next ( for awarding Palace 4 penalties against us in one match ), then yesterdays.

Ron Challis, of course.

And Darren Sheldrake, for the single worst decision I've ever seen. Foul on our player, handball by their player, a yard outside the area, free-kick incorrectly given against us when it was their infringement, changed to penalty on advice of a linesman who was standing 30 yards away (and who only put his flag up after being haranged by a Bmuff player). In the dying seconds of the game too - a decision that directly affected the result and cost us two points.

Peter Walton the other week - for probably the second worst decision I've ever seen.

I'm sure supporters of all teams say this, but what is it with us and crap refs?!

:wanker::wanker::wanker:Craig Pawson....= very Poor-son. Says it all when Burnley fans post on their website...rate the referee and one comment..."thought the referee had a terrific game"

Prosser had been my no.1 for years ever since the Sheffield Utd game, but Mr Pawson has now taken over at the top of my list.

Total incompetence.

Prosser is still #1 surely? As mentioned above, he managed to drag out his terrible display post-match as well

Who was reffing the Rochdale game when a free kick on the left wing became a barney in the penalty area,a sending off,THEN a penalty.Think Mr Poyet was a bit miffed at that one,and Mr Claridge made an even bigger arse of himself on air ?

Pawson's football wikia page, Pawson, some interesting allegations in there. He has also sent 7 players off in 17 games this season, which to me seems too many.

Here are the stats for the premier league refs, to give an indication of what the, supposed, best refs do. For me it is striking what variance there is in the number of cards.

NAME GAMES YELLOW RED
M Atkinson 20 78 8
S Attwell 11 45 3
M Clattenburg 16 58 5
M L Dean 17 57 1
P Dowd 15 69 1
C J Foy 14 37 6
K Friend 13 50 2
M R Halsey 11 29 0
M J Jones 11 53 4
A Marriner 10 37 1
Lee Mason 15 46 2
Jonathan Moss 14 47 5
M Oliver 13 36 2
Lee Probert 17 60 3
Neil Swarbrick 14 57 3
A Taylor 14 45 4
P Walton 12 43 2
Howard Webb 19 75 4

Does no-one else remember D'Urso and his spiralling attempt to ref a game in the 05/06 season (against Leeds).

I can't remember why he was so bad, but I remember walking away think he rhymed with runt. We did win the match, so that may be why he's not remembered.
