A steam train (presumably the same one) left platform 7 at Brighton around 2pm.

That's awesome, what a wonderful sight.

We went over to Berwick to see it.
It was nowhere in sight and we haerd the whistle, and it went flying through Berwick like s**t off a shovel. We were really surprised at the speed it went past.
Great sight though, a real blast from the past, and chuufed about the points failure which delayed it, and gave us the chance to see it close up

Just a steam train to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the line to Seaford? When the Brighton main line had its 150th birthday, they laid on a horse-drawn coach as well. I had a say in who got to ride in it. Sadly, there wasn't room for me.
