Slightly different slant to it but we once played Walsall in 5 different grounds during the same season.

Can anybody name the grounds and the reasons why?

got to be due to the FA cup replays meaning neutral grounds

so Goldstone, Bescott, Highbury, Stamford Bridge , Hillsborough?

As far as I can remember the tie went to a third replay only. What was the 5th ground?

Game 1 was 1st day of season at Goldstone a 1-1 draw and the start of an intriuging battle between Albion's veteran Alex Dawson and Walsall's teenage keeper Phil Parkes at the start of his long career (West Ham, QPR, Ipswich).

Game 2 was an exciting 1-1 FAC tie at the Goldstone.
Game 3, and ground 2, was the replay at Fellows Park, Walsall.
Game 4 was another draw at Craven Cottage, Fulham.
Game 5 & Walsall won this cup marathon at Highfield Road, Coventry.
Game 6 was the return league game. because of Walsall's cup run and the build up of fixtures and a waterlogged Fellows Park, thew decided to play at the hawthorns, WBA. Albion gained some fine revenge with a 3-0 win.
