He was on the bench.

We could guess and guess until the cows home it could be anyone of about 15 people.

Flo.

Derry or Stack.

Healy's probably fed up with playing for Leeds, but even Wise isn't stupid enough to dump a player he could feasibly get lots of money for so long as he's not seen as tarnished goods, or the club desperate to sell.

Healy asked his agent not to find him a move away from Leeds and that he did not wish to be approached, in January because he is happy and settled and didn't want to move. He has a broken arm now anyway.

All those three are injured and if you believe what those with 'sources' say the played was told at 1pm in the changing room after Taylor went to Wise and told him what happened.

Don't know if you saw The Championship on ITV this morning, but they spoke to Dario Gradi about this sort of thing happening, and he says it goes on all the time. No big deal.

Say a player's not in the team or squad, so he's hanging around the ground not doing much, sees one of his mates at the other club and gets asked why he's not playing. He then says "Been dropped, [for example] Neville and Fletcher are in midfield, Rooney's up front and Evra at full back".

The mate then works out the team from that and the previous week's side, so what? I really can't see what the fuss is about. The team has to be finalised by 1pm anyway, and with all due respect, I don't see what Wise could have done with the players at his disposal to have any dramatic impact on Palace's selection in any case.

Fair enough, if as a manager you're trying to work out whether Ronaldinho will be in the side or not, but would any current Leeds player make that much difference to Palace's plans? Would Peter Taylor have altered his entire game plan because, say, Crainey played instead of Hulse?

From a non-Leeds perspective, all this looks suspiciously like Wise getting all hot & bothered about nothing, and, who knows, maybe finding a perfect "gross misconduct" issue with which to handily ship out an unwanted player without having to pay up his contract.

Oh yeah, and I really can't see Peter Taylor approaching Wise and spilling the beans. If you were a manager and it was something as important as Wise is trying to make out, you'd keep schtum and use it to your advantage.

This has "Wise & Bates stitch up" written all over it.

Taylor might have had a complaint or two if we'd been fielding a Sheffield United player in our line up!

And absolutely. In which case Kelly and the £2m he is due to pick up from us on May 31st!

That's a bit harsh if they do boot out Kelly, he has been with you lot for about 15 years hasn't he?

Well it would be incredibly harsh then.

Of course I don't know the circumstances, but it would suit Bates down to the ground I'm sure.

Anything to save a few pennies. Or a lot of pennies in this case. If indeed it is him. I don't think it is, though.

I think the PFA will go nuts if a player is sacked for releasing such information. It is difficult to claim that it is gross misconduct, and will surely cause even more misery in the dressing room (if that is possible with King Ken and his rottweiler in charge)

I don't think it's gross misconduct, our good pal Graham Taylor is already chomping at the bit over it.

Time will tell I guess.
