Congratulations to the West Indies new millionaires... they have out-bowled and out-batted England in a most emphatic fashion. Well done :clap2:

So glad England lost. They whored out our national team and our names to pander to the whims of an ego centric Yank and for the chance to trouser all that money.

Delighted to see the WI's players celebrate and our lads slink off - f*** all the greedy bastards.

Serious post.

Do you think that cricker has become "prostituted" by staging such a match ???

Why are you asking me the same question again ?

After a bit of reflection I think this has been a well executed plan by stanford. He has said his motive is to rejuvenate WI cricket (I have no reson to doubt this), on the one hand with his inter island 2020, and then with a big match to get the publicity and the eyes of the world on them. He has achieved both of these things.
This match was always going to be for the locals, we were just the whipping boys and if thing had gone wrong and we had won then it's would've put a big downer on those in the ground. Their team had a 6 week intensive training camp, we turned up a week before the game, there was only ever going to be one winner in this.

Now, did he pick England as a way of benefiting English and West Indian cricket ....so, why did he not pick Australia as the team to play his "Superstars"..... could it be because the Aussies would have thrashed them and trousered the money ?.... that would not be good for the home fans now would it ?

So England got the gig and were soundly thrashed leading to lots of happiness by all concerned except us.

I heard England were about 4th choice for it.
