If someone doesn't do their research before they move somewhere it's their own fault. Shouldn't be allowed to affect things that were in place before they moved in.

I am going to one of my favourite local independent venues in Guildford tonight (Boileroom) and it was recently threatened with exactly the same nonsense from a new resident. Where do the next generation of bands learn their craft if these places are forced to close their doors?

Wish I could have added a caveat: Any place that uses a bloke (or woman) with a computer full of backing tracks, a microphone, and a PA (and maybe a guitar which they'll pretend to play....a bit.....some of the time) and advertises it as Live Music should be shut down immediately!
