Yep, I'm still annoyed about September 25.

No guts, no glory.

Still maintain we did the right thing. I’m suprised at a pitch invasion for a fairly meaningless competition that will be scrapped in the next few years.

I'm not sure when Brighton & Hove Albion became so choosy about which trophies we want in the cabinet? Never came close to the Auto Windscreens/whatever either.

No, that was proper tonight. Villa glory.....I'd snap your hand off for a bit of that down here.

Yeah you’re right, we really disrespected a competition where the first round was drawn in a supermarket.

It's not about respecting a competition. It's more about self-respect. Trying to win something to fill this, instead of simply rolling over. And about respecting ALL of the fans who paid/travelled, of course.

Yeh? Worked out well for us, didn't it - developed that habit of winning matches that's lead to us being comfortably mid-table, plus the excitement of a cup run ....................

Plus it convinced little old Villa that as they'd beaten us twice already (without taking into account they were playing the kids in one match and ten men in the other) they were dead certs to take something off us at The Amex - wonderful what giving them confidence can do! Two more points lost by us - could have done with them.

Churlish if not shared. Three major trophies for most clubs each season. Our history in this cup competition is nothing short of embarrassing. Forget winning for a moment, let’s aim to make the QF once every 120 years first!

That was the evening I vowed never to go to an Albion cup game again

You can have a box of my camomile tea, if you're feeling a bit sensitive.
It does wonders for those of an unstable position

New breed of Brighton fans = worries about what every other club does, thinks we’re relegated, thinks the atmosphere is crap despite not wanting to sing the easiest of old classic chants as one, made GOSBTS way to complicated that just kills any kind of atmosphere afterwards, and now jealous of Villa who beat a load of reserve sides and granted one well fought game which might send them the same way as it did Birmingham. Unbelievable.

If you think Wozza is a "new breed of Brighton fan", you're seriously wrong.

Shame about the illness, injuries ( 9 players ), and Chelsea game 3 days later ( 6 injuries ) which restricted Potter's team selection for the Villa game :nono:

To be fair to that new breed of fan they have been led to believe by the owner and the club CEO that everything is in place to be a top club in the Premier League
Only this season the chairman has told the world that a top ten club is now the ambition, I didn’t realise that he meant in the Championship and like many who are new breed he raised the expectations of the fans. So what do you expect?

I prefer that the club is positive and allows us to dream about future success than is negative and puts a damper on everything tbh.

Nothing wrong with being positive, but don’t raise fans expectations to a level the finances of the club cannot obtain for many years if ever. We just can’t compete at that level

Brighton factually.....
That was the evening I vowed never to go to an Albion cup game again

I understand why, I was mighty pissed off that night, let us know in advance like Klopp has done for their game against Shrewsbury, then I would not have wasted my money. I will still go to cup games, because I’m the eternal optimist concerning thee Albion.....

Well done Villa, shame on thee Albion.
