Went on a hen do last Saturday in Brighton - had a fab time!!!

First stop the Pussycat club where we did a naked drawing class with cocktails - 25 of us, all ages lasted about an hour and a half - absolutely hilarious.
The model was a computer under graduate called Joe - nice fella with a great physique!!!

Next stop - out for a meal to some pasta place in the lanes which was really nice - more wine flowing and great food.

Next stop - The casino opposite the pier - which I have to say was the worst part of the evening apart from the very good looking manager who was very nice! I hadn't been to a casino for years - and was disappointed to say the least - thought it was a dive to be honest and all the fellas in there looked like ex boxers so after chucking a £10 on the roulette table and winning back £50 odd quid we cashed in and decided to jump ship and ended up in Lola's where we hit the dance floor and got wasted - we had a fantastic night and we have all decided that we don't get out enough and are planning to go at least once a month all together now as it was just such a great night.

For the places I have been :

Riga : Small enough place to walk around easily. Some good bars but plenty of women around who are interested in you but only because they want to take you to another bar where you get ripped off. Either that or you get filled in if you don’t pay up. The Jockey club, however, was a fantastic if overly expensive rippers. Think : Lewes with gangsters.

Bulgaria : Sofia : Got charged a load of money for a few drinks in the first bar we went in. The landlord helpfully explained with a map that he got out that the bar we were in was run by the Bulgarian Mafia. He then went on to tell us that all bars were run by either the Bulgarian or Russian Mafia and to expect this all night. Or death. Genuinely scared. All the time. Think : Beirut or Baghdad.

Budapest. Ace. Spent 1 night watching 2 birds lezz off in a swimming pool which I had my feet dipped in. Got annihilated at Table football though. Mate had his nose broken in the strip joint by a mistimed run and jump around a pole by the stripper as he was sat too close to the stage. God knows how he explained that away to his other half. Think : Heavon. With Lesbians.

Amsterdam : Full of English Wankers. Can’t stand the place. Think : West Street on a Saturday night with bifters.

Warsaw : Grimesville. Stayed in the hotel pool and casino for 3 days as there was nothing else to do. Think of Coventry with no smiles.

Ljubljana : We went 8 years ago. Not many English at the time and a relaxed place. Was sick in the castle. Not sure what the Slovenians made of the grooms Darth Vadar costume. Think of Wales.

Prague : Went over 10 years ago. Sounds like it is a bit more commercialised these days. Think Edinburgh

I have to say though the best stag do’s I have been on have all been in England. Really enjoyed Oxford and especially annihilating some posh blokes at Pub Golf.

Must have been years ago surely! I went recently and it was brilliant, none of this trouble, and constantly paying sub £3 a drink, bar 'entertainment' venues, which was nearer £5

Prague

JUST got back from a stag do in Prague on Monday. It was 3 nights and 3 days of constant drinking, felt like shit for 2 solid days when I returned. Prague is a nice place, very scenic, we TRIED to stick to traditional places but always ended up in a different Irish bar...
Food and Drink are excellent value, beer is cheap, very cheap! Something about the place, I don't know, put me off though and i'm not sure what it was. It all looked very 'samey' and I never made it across the river to visit daveinprague (sorry Dave, I was so f***ed the whole time there was no chance I would be able to negotiate a bridge) and the 'monkey shagging the midget' was something much publicised but never seen (not sure i'd want to anyway?) We paid 200 quid all in for flights, transfers and 3 nights accommodation (here Wenceslas Square Markova Apartments in Prague) so you cant argue with that. For your budget it might be ideal! My advice is and will always be Amsterdam or Ibiza though. Always.

Yeah I agree the center is samey... but its heritage site, so its never going to change. You have to go to bars out of the center for real Prague to be honest. Czechs certainly wouldnt, and neither would I out of principle now, pay 55kc for a beer so you probably didnt come across many Czechs in the bars...Just lately ive found a couple of places by chance and shocked how big, and packed they were. Still, im sure you accomplished the mission haha....Having lived in Holland previously, id agree with Amsterdam, but it would be much, much more expensive.
Understand how hard it is to cross the river..until we had the bar, and I moved down to it from Zizkov, I NEVER went over the river...probably a couple of times in 4 years...and stuck to Zizkov and Vinohrady which is the area heading up behind museum...mainly as a couple of decent clubs are up there...LeClan, which is my favourite, and Techle Mechle...
There was a rightup on late night clubs on the expats page....

I love leclan but rarely have the strength to go there...doesnt really get going until 5 and a lot of the dancers from the clubs go there....theres even cubicles on one of the lower levels where people go to get close...Not something I condone myself, but its the only place in the world where ive seen people openly doing coke as well.

The main clubs are dealt with here.

2005/6 I think. Scary place back then. Being English was like walking around with a bullseye on you.

If you stay in The UK I can recommend Bournemouth. Been on two stag weekends down there so far to date. Then i've got my brothers one down there in a months time. Got us booked into a nice sea front hotel, a trip to Chilli White's on Friday and Saturday night off to spearmint rhino. Oh and an activities afternoon on the Saturday which is blind 4x4 driving, rage buggies, human table football and clay pidgeon shooting. All for a £149.

Wouldn't recommend Amsterdam (went 20 years ago, and opinion didn't change when recently visited, IMO one of the biggest dumps in Europe)
Prague I found a little disappointing, very commercial in the central district, beer can be extremely cheap but lots of beggars, fair bit of vice. Too many Jap / American tourists. Have been to Croatia, beautiful but more of a family beach destination, Split quite expensive
How about Bruges, cracking city great beer, cheap and easy to get too. Or an early cheap flight with budget accommodation may allow you to get to Barcelona, now that would take some beating, pm me if you want help with these.

Edit; I see there's 15/20 of you, forget Bruges
