They have a big(ish) club visiting yet they still cant sell their stadium out, do their fans not care ?

Currently Sunderland 1-0 Arsenal - Richardson scored for the Mackems

Was thinking that - a Saturday night on telly doesn't help but even so , kind've worried that this will be the case with ticket prices getting higher etc..

Number 7 is Sunderland then. If we could possibly do the scousers tomorrow, the whole competition is blown wide open. There will only be Spurs who I would not fancy our chances against at home...And let's get one thing right,,Liverpool are not a great side anymore, sure they can beat anyone on there day but eight draws at home this season tells its own story.

If we have a chance of beating Liverpool, then it is tomorrow.

Seeing as Chelsea are very shaky this season, i think Spurs will win the Cup, hopefully against us in the final.

The north east was highlighted as one of the areas with the highest rates of unemployment earlier this week. (Sunderland is currently running at between 7-9 % unemployment - double the rate in Brighton and over three times the rate for Lewes, as an example). Can't blame people for putting family before football in these straightened times. Add to that the fact the game is live on TV on a Saturday evening, you have to ask what the motivation is for going, rather than staying away.

High ticket prices and the insatiable demand of TV to televise even mediocre games are slowly killing football. That game this evening was a prime example.

Stadium of Light or not the only light gone out is the one on Arsenals' season

In London village.
Probably not as empty as Wenger's excuses tomorow.

This is what happens when you consistently play Johan Djourou :dunce:

or play ever: Rosicky, Squillaci, Fabiansky, Arshavin, Walcott, Santos, Mertesacker, Arteta.

Shame for Van Persie who's several levels above that crowd of average PL players & he appears to love that club, but joined in the wrong era!
