Delighted for Dom Bess.
Wonderful Cricket ground ,grass banks right in Galle City centre . Stroll into town at lunch for a beer and some street food [and it was ok and i'm very fussy with stuff like that] Have a wander round the fort and still see the cricket from the battlements . Tuk Tuk back to the resort £3 and those drivers are mental. Tickets a snip at £1.50 a day ,would love to be there again
Sounds wonderful, definitely on my bucket list.
On the subject of away Test venues (series) in which order would you list your preferences, assuming you could attend all the matches and do a bit of sight seeing too?
I haven't included Ireland and Afghanistan in my list even though they do now play Test Matches.
Some tough choices but I'd go for:
(1) South Africa.
(2) West Indies
(3) Australia
(4) India
(5) New Zealand
(6) Sri Lanka
(7) Zimbabwe
(8) Bangladesh
(9) Pakistan
Sri Lanka has been my only Cricket trip . For me NZ is one on the list ,old school Grounds .
My boss was/is planning to do the whole ashes tour later this year ,he has been saving for 4 years . Myself and a few mates looking at the first 2 tests , but i think it will be moved back a year at earliest .Can't beat the MCG on Boxing Day. Would love to have the dosh to just follow Test Cricket around the World.

Having TMS on in the background while working from home is great - even if they are not in the ground. When a comment about the weather quickly turns to snow in Spain, the impact on some fruit and veg, courgettes being just water and how an aubergine ruins a Moussaka - all with a couple of minutes - you know TMS is back.
Also, it is a couple of minutes ahead of the Sky Mobile stream on my iPad so I can then be distracted by pictures for the big shots and wickets.
Good question!Sounds wonderful, definitely on my bucket list.

Expecting to flick it on tomorrow when I wake up with us at least 150 ahead and 7 wickets left.
There, I just made a game of it, right there
Micky Arthur kicking off but Root saved by a subsection of rule 33.
Gotta love cricket!!!
I must say I assumed that would be out. Not sure why they needed so many replays though, as if that's the law it was pretty obvious it hit the ground straight off the bat on the first replay
I didn't have a clue about the rule but presumed it was not out once it hit the ground.Been involved in the game for forty years and, whilst I didn't really think it was out, I was a bit uncertain.
