I'm basing it on the fact I've seen Calderon play CB 3 or 4 times and he looks good there, he has a good range of passing and understands how we play. Vincelot has never played CB for us very good in the air yes but as a CB I don't think he is good enough. Calderon looked fine on Saturday and if he can play there against Giroud and Podolski I think he will be ok against Lita and Madine

This is the same Giroud who scored 2 goals and Podolski who was unlucky when he hit the bar. Dont get me wrong I like Calderon but I would not be happy with him staring at centre back as his heading isn't good enough. Which game was it we lost points in injury time when Calderon missed a header and let the striker in to score recxently.

Giroud that El Abd was marking you mean ? And Podolski hit the bar from a free kick

If rather have someone else but Calderon is a miles better option than Vincelot

Do you think Vincelot would have stopped Podolski hitting the bar from a FREE KICK then?

Why use that as an example when as you say he didnt mark Giroud ?

wasn't Vincelot playing at CB in the game where he dislocated his shoulder?

Vincelot started at centre back against Ipswich away last season. That was the only time.

He played everywhere else pretty much! Left back when he scored vs Coventry, centre midfield against Burnley, striker when he came on against Reading in the FDM game!

Calderon has proved on more than I occasion he is capable playing centre back and unless gus is able to get someone he wants I'd rather go with what we have ! This is the 1st time I have felt relaxed going into a deadline day for a while as we have signed a striker who looks promising and I'm quite happy with our squad
