Grudging respect to the Nigels support. 17,800 turned up to watch that crock of shit.

But on the issue that matters, I think Scunny and Preston have left themselves too much to do, needing 4 and 5 points respectively to go above Palace with only 4 to play. That said, in our great escape season I think we were 5 behind with 4 to play so you never know...

Palace will survive and we'll have two good games to look forward to next season.

It's great to see them squirming as it goes down to the wire though.

If both us and Palarse were to have good seasons next year (I'm not wishing it for them, by the way!), and both hovered around the play off/automatic spots for most of the season, can you imagine how good the atmosphere would be in our head to head clashes?
It would be absolutely electric and the best the rivalry has been since the good old Mullery/Venables days.

Mind you, I'd hate to be the loser if that happens, the pain would be unimaginable ... not that there's much chance of that!

I don't think they will be that good next year, they are going backwards. The matches will be electric regardless. At the moment we have better stadium, better manager, better team and for the first time in ages we will not be in those matches as underdogs with limited resources.

Despite what they say, They're shitting themselves as they can see we have the potential and ambition to go straight past them whilst they languish.

Only needs one of them to do it. I'm still hopeful.

Palace still in the position where it's theirs to lose, but regardless of if they make it or not, the fact they're in this PICKLE while we're crowned CHAMPIONS with four games still to play is just GOLD.

I don't think Preston or Scunthorpe can 'keep up' personally.

I could be wrong but I think it'll go down to the last game. At least both Preston and Scunny both have managers that seem to have installed some belief in their teams.

I don't see too many points for Palace from these games, maybe a couple of draws?
Preston have a slightly better goal difference, which could be crucial & you just never know with Scunthorpe(2 wins from last 3,incl Qpr and THAT win at Selhurst).

Could be interesting...

I think Palace will get a draw or two from the next three games. That could put them in a lot of trouble, looking at Scunny & Preston's forthcoming games. Much depends on whether Forest are still in contention for their last game of the season(away to CP). If their not,Palace will grind out what they need. Good to see 'em squirm though, while we enjoy the tail end of this fantastic season 
