I would imagine most players would keep their numbers from last season, meaning 6, 11 or 16 are the lowest free ones.

In some ways, I'd like to see MM shake up the numbers a bit.

It was great a couple of seasons ago when we were still basically fielding 1 - 11 apart from Bobby at the end of the season.

Those numbers are Micky Adam's squad, and MM has clealy made Roberts number 1 and brought in Harding in Mayo's place. Others are still debateable (i.e. if Watto gets his shirt back), but I'd like to see MM give a statement of intent as to how he sees the team shaping up.

I personally don't like the squad numbers to stay the same year after year, as it creates problems like "who's going to have Bobby's shirt" when personnel change, and we end up with a bizarre collection of numbers on the pitch.

Having said that, I got well confused with everyone having the wrong number on at Crawley on Saturday!

i hate it when they change numbers - especially if you have that particular player on the back of your shirt

Having the name of a player on the back of your shirt is a mistake IMO. It's good at the time but shirts with "25 Zamora" look very dated.

Can't see OGH giving up that number 9 shirt easily.

David Lee doesn't deserve a shirt number because he isn't really a footballer after all is he?

I never like seeing a number 13 on the squad list.

Dan Beck is missing.

Whos that number 19?

19 is the youth team keeper we have high hopes, Richard Martin i think it is, Liverpool were after him at some point last season.
