I think we are fine tbh. One more up front maybe ideally given the sale of Trossard so we don't have him as the false 9 option anymore but I'd rather one of Ferguson or Welbeck up top rather than both and the same would probably apply if Undav was the starter so 3 is ok for now, we are hardly short of goals anyway. Buonanotte 'could be anything' as they say in horseracing and Enciso and Sarmiento have had limited playing time as it is.

We always seem to be focussed on up front, but actually RB and CB are probably 2 more pressing positions for RDZ. We’re all enjoying the goals from us at present, but the goals against column could be better.

Thanks for this.

FIFA introduced a new loan rule last year, a max of 8. How come we have many more than this?

EDIT: Just seen that there's 3 years to impliment this domestically. This explains it, we have 7 outside of England but the rest are laoned to English clubs.

According to Carlos Tevez, Buonanotte could be quite something.

Blimey, is their enough squad depth for the Champions League? Would imagine the summer could see RDZ having a say in spending on a few familiar faces, especially if we get money for Caicedo. Perhaps Mac and Mitoma would stay for European action and it's a pull for new signings.

Need left back cover, Left sided centre half, cover for Lallana, thats without any sales. Apparently Adringa is playing well and could be Trossard replacement.

Great stuff @chaileyjem

Hadn’t realised the option on Caicedo - great news.

Wasn’t Taylor Richards a permanent to QPR?

Edit - loan with option to buy - apologies

Loan - with an option to play more like - the lad seems absolutely plagued by injury. Can see QPR sending him back TBH, unless it's an obligation to buy.

One of the key factors for us is the loan rule doesn't apply to players under 21 or club trained players. This is because FIFA don't want to stop younger players development and loans are a key part of that. In reality we are nowhere near the current limits for overseas loans. I think only Scherpen is over the age limit, Alzate is too but it depends on the definition of club trained as to if he'd count to the limit or not.

This.
It's strange, but for some reason no matter how often this rule gets explained on here, it just doesn't seem to sink in, and the same question gets asked repeatedly - or the rule just gets mentioned without any reference to the exceptions for U21s and HGPs.

While we as a club are in a good moment we need to dish out some new contracts. March & Mitoma for sure..

Also, it may be unlikely we could buy Colwill but I wouldnt be against another years loan. We're not usually one for loans or developing other teams players, but if we could get 2 years out of Colwill without having to pay a fee then thats not a bad situation.

When Albion announced Buonanotte's signing they stated he had penned a deal until June 2027 (rather than 2026 plus a year's option).

Also, both Andy Naylor and Brian Owen reported that there is an additional year's option on Enciso's deal.
