Lots of possession for sure, but no real chances yet apart from a couple of long shots.

Philips caused some trouble, bias aside I was impressed, I thought they deserved something out the game. I dont know where the hoofball is coming from, they played the ball well no imo.

Well it's a shame because I'm going to miss all the first class posts and hilarity from our resident Nigels and 12 months seems an awful long time to have to wait to see them on here again.

Big effort from the useless, relegation-bound nerds there. So, so far from being anywhere near good enough and when their spotty fans' initial pant-p1ssing excitement about having been promoted fades, they'll get reassuringly thrashed week in and week out.

Could've been Blackpool a couple of years ago, plucky but limited and the trademark triple substitution.

Won £25 off a £3 treble of Liverpool, Huddersfield and Burnley yesterday, smashed that on Chelsea and Spurs to win, massively priced at EVENS. Halfway to turning £3 into £50 in 24 hours, cheers Palace

Shocking punditry. Quinn never mentioned Paulinho all game, then makes him Man Of The Match. It was clearly Walker who defended well, got forward and tormented Moxey.

The biased punditry masked a woeful lack of zip, pace and accuracy about Palace.

Fair play to their supporters though who kept the noise going.

Sigurdsson and Defoe wasted gilt- edged chances to kill the game, with 18 shots to 5 Spurs should have won by a bigger margin.

Palace did well.

This thread is just jealously

This.

They did do well. Jedinak and Williams in particular looked excellent.

It is obviously going to be a struggle for them this season but I think if they get a couple more players in of Premier League quality they have got a chance of staying up. Spurs are an excellent side yet Palace were far from outclassed.

Phillips looked dangerous, Dobbie on the other hand was once again quiet, useless and made it like Palace were down to 10 men until he came off. Not quite sure how palace were excited by Chamack or whatever his name is. He didn't look deadly at all.

I find it crazy Phillips and Giggs are still playing, got a lot of respect for them.

I agree, Williams looks like he'll go on to be a really good player. Jedinak barely made any mistakes. I sort of want them to stay up, so if we were to go up this season. We could meet them in a live derby in the top flight. If we don't go up, may them drop like a sack of potatoes.

One chink of light for Palace and sure to upset The Major, that's the first time for about 3 years they've managed to get a higher attendance than us, 3 years of comments about 'plastics' seeming to be somewhat hypocritical now.

They huffed and puffed hard - you'd expect little else in their first game after getting promoted and with a ground full of spotty simpletons roaring through their acne every time Palace got into Spurs' half. Spurs never broke sweat.
