FA Cup matches have been spread over a full weekend - so TV companies can extend coverage - for several years now.

Man Utd v Boro is on Friday night this season. And we played at Old Trafford on a Saturday night a few seasons' back.

You have to point the finger at the clubs agreeing the deal, not the ITV schedulers paid to get the best return from their licensing agreement.

All parties are aiming to maximise money. That's the botttom line.

I'm quite happy to point the finger at all of them. I won't be going. That said, they know fans will go no matter what, we are the ultimate consumer group. We hate the term customers, because any business in the world would love customers that can be served up shit on toast and queue up to get it.

Bet they open blocks 518-519 next. i.e right corner and spread along rather than best block behind the goal.

Why on earth schedule it for 8pm then? 5.30pm would surely be the slot to have on a Saturday night, it's worked for ages in the PL. Why suddenly is 8pm on a Sat being thrown in the mix? Barmy.

The public schoolboys are playing Rugger at 17:00 on the BBC assuming Nadine hasn't thrown it in the bin by then. As the FA cup is shared between the 2, they aren't clashing with sport across the 2 channels.

Good news if you care about Chariots and like seeing blokes stick their heads and arses into a giant egg shape. Bad news is you want to get trains to and from the ground and take the kids to watch the football.

So that’s roughly 5000 sold, lower & middle tier basically sold out, & the upper tier must be open soon with the potential for 4000 more.

All these people quoting figures of 4-5000 sold, are you sure?

Seems high and looks like a lot of large blocks are still unavailable….

On the assumption that we have a maximum of 9,000, I'd say that top tier 5 blocks hold 4,500 - 5,000, so yes we probably have already sold 4,000 - 4,500 I'd guess.

Yeah - I had a rough count up of seats in each block 113 is 850 ish - We have an allocation of up to 9k so stacks up on that level too.

Looks the like the club have a big decision to make now, how many upper tier blocks to take. Currently five upper tier blocks available to the club, I wonder if the club will take all five? I suspect they'll take 2 or 3. Now all Season Ticket holders and Albion + Members have had the opportunity to purchase tickets now. Possibly some Season Ticket holders are waiting for friends and family with purchase history to then pick tickets together. I wonder how many more sales there are? 2k max?

Unlucky to those who procrastinated.

With the late kick-off time and match being televised on ITV4, after careful consideration we opted for the initial allocation of 5700 tickets.

Shame its sold out as have a few people that wanted the STH+ guest tickets but great weve sold 5,700 considering the travel drama.

We only took 5,700 tickets :ffsparr:

We took 5,000 to Old Trafford when there was a nationwide blizzard going on ffs. So obvious we would easily sell 6,500+.

I reckon loads of fans held off buying for the other blocks to become available. Quite staggering how the club has so little faith in it’s fans. Yes, I know there are travel issues.
