Sandwiches at a football. Unbelievable.

How do you feed your children at lunchtime? Soup? We're not allowed to take flasks. Pies? They're destined for a life of obesity. Likewise burgers or hot dogs which may be full of unspeakable offal.

A lunchtime kick off on Boxing Day sounds the ideal time to take turkey sandwiches for the kids to me.

I can happily confirm this policy doesn't apply at the Amex as our sarnies made it through all security checks yesterday. I'm with the OP on this one: taking sarnies off travelling fans at a lunchtime kick-off is bloody outrageous. It's a football ground not a restaurant. If people want to take their own food, they should be able to.
