Went in there on the way home from Birghton despite what the food buffs and experts!!! say it was very good value the Gammon and Turkey was excellent, and not dry the beef granted it was probably roast top rump, definitely had no fat on it. The veg was not over cooked and generally offered excellent value for money. Obviously at prices much higher you will get better but it cannot be sneezed at for £3.50. 4 meals + 3 non alco drinks + 1 pt Carling less than £20 VFM.

The only drawback is that they were not sure last night what they were going to do about the carvery pre match and it appearred that they are going to stop it fairly early like 6.00pm, and then just do rolls until after the game. Cant understand why this hasnt already been sorted out before they re-opened.

Sportsman is wank, once queued up for 25mins to get a shite beer that was flat and had to wait 10mins to get a replacement beer.
Drink in Brighton then cab to the ground, easier/quicker/BETTER!

I have to say the best thing that came out of tonight was the £3.50 carvery. wasnt to sure about the beer prices though. every time i went up it changed. first round, 2 pints, and half a coke £6.72. next round two pints £5, next 2 pints £5.37, then the next 2 £5.50. all exactly the same drinks everytime i went they changed in price. surely they cant fluctuate that much? other than that not much to moan about, bar staff are all new and more of them. bar has got smaller as they now have the carvery around the corner and only the one bar area. i'd mark it 7/10, you do have to get there early to get a seat, all in all worth a try
