Adlington should win, because she beat a world record that has stood for 20 years by TEN seconds, a truly amazing achievement.

To do this she was at the pool at 5.30am every morning in the dump that we call Mansfield, and worked her butt off. Her victory was down to her ability, nothing to do with having tens of millions of pounds of engineering to support her.

Hamilton WILL win it though, due to both the nature of his victory on the last lap and the fact that petrolheads delude themselves that F1 is a sport.

Really? you keep thinking that :lolol:

I will, I bet football got more column inches in the tabloids during the olympics than the olympics did.

Also what has any of the olympians done since the olympics? How have they got on in their chosen sports? You've got no idea have you because you don't really care that Dave the cyclist rode round in a circle faster than Steve the cyclist.

It's like tennis, for two weeks of the year everyone pretends they like tennis when Wimbledon is on, for the rest of the year no one bats an eyelid over it.

Ain't that the truth hon. An all-time great as a player & human being. Tears flowing down in the TT house when he was on stage. Brilliant.
