Better watch it on live TV as you don't want the 30 second to 1 minute delay on stream

That’s what normally happensCurrently in Lisbon. A representative from Benfica said of the potential draw with the albion that they "wouldn't like it, but they'd have to go along with it."
Did he say it in Portuguese? What did he say in Portuguese?Currently in Lisbon. A representative from Benfica said of the potential draw with the albion that they "wouldn't like it, but they'd have to go along with it."
Dundee and Dundee United?Must rank amongst the shortest distances between stadiums of major football clubs.

UEFA Europa League round of 16 draw: What was it? Who were the teams? | UEFA Europa League 2023/24
When was the draw for the first UEFA Europa League round of 16? What was it? Who was involved? How did it work?www.uefa.com
This is the best info we have I think.I believe Benfica would play on the Thursday, and Sporting on the Weds (or possibly Tuesday) as Benfica are, I believe, the "first team in order of priority" - see rule 6.1 (and 5.1) of https://editorial.uefa.com/resource...834be495fc4-1000/city_and_stadium_clashes.pdf
Based on the draw 2 years ago, looks like it will be confirmed before the draw is made.
I think it's a riff on a classic Day Today comment by Peter O'Hanraha-hanrahan.What did he mean by that comment?
Deserves its own thread
Both in same city. Both cant be played on the Thursday.
It seems almost certainly that sporting is the one that will have to move. Appears Tuesday or Wednesday. More likely Tuesday.
Benfica SHOULD stay as Thursday.
Have I got anything wrong ?
Who are they, Finance Minister F***ing Reinhardt?Currently in Lisbon. A representative from Benfica said of the potential draw with the albion that they "wouldn't like it, but they'd have to go along with it."
You are looking at wrong section. There is a specific 1 for last 16- def both at home same week with def Benfica at home on the Thursday. Otherwise not fair on the seeded team Sporting playing to have to play home leg first. Is it moved to the Tuesday or Wednesday? or is the fixture reverse and they play the away leg first as this seems to imply?

You're right, so definitely away thenYou are looking at wrong section. There is a specific 1 for last 16- def both at home same week with def Benfica at home on the Thursday. Otherwise not fair on the seeded team Sporting playing to have to play home leg first.
They won’t reverse one of the fixtures in this round as it takes away home advantage in get second leg for the seeded team.Is it moved to the Tuesday or Wednesday? or is the fixture reverse and they play the away leg first as this seems to imply?
Did he say it in Portuguese? What did he say in Portuguese?
Sadly no derbies here at the moment until Utd promoted again next season. But yes, like all Scottish football post-Bosman, barely hanging on under the shadow of the catholics and protestants from the West.Dundee and Dundee United?

Oh, sorry. You said major. And football. Not minor monkey tennis. I'll get ma coot.
What...Lidl lost to Sintra?Sporting Lisbon has a Lidl in one side of the stadium. Saw them lose to Sintra in the Portuguese Cup around 5 year ago
Tuesday the sensible option. The full fixture list will be available after the draw ceremony, by 18:00 CET at the latest.
Please note that due to the city clash between SL Benfica and Sporting Clube de Portugal, and in order to respect the sporting criteria of the competition (both teams have to play the first leg of their respective round of 16 ties at home), one of the two first-leg matches will be played on a Tuesday.
In accordance with the principles set by the Club Competitions Committee, SL Benfica have priority, having won the domestic championship. Sporting Clube de Portugal will therefore play their first leg in the round of 16 at home on Tuesday 5 March 2024, at 18:45 CET, irrespective of their opponents.
