The dull part of the south coast
As a present to celebrate my birthday the other day I was given the book The Fans' Guide To Football Grounds. Very informative it is too and useful for us Albion fans for our away travels. The thing that got me was the number of grounds that have their Stands named after sponsors. Better still, the more outlandish ones. How can you not fail to be impressed by The Whitby Morrison Ice Cream Van Stand (Crewe), or The Eric Twigg Foods Pukka Pies (West) Stand (Rotherham).

So much more descriptive and entertaining than the boring old named North, South, East and West Stands. I mean just imagine the chant of "We're the Whitby Morrison Ice Cream Van Stand Brighton Boys!" The full time whistle would have gone before the end of the song.

Anyway, your thoughts and ideas on some wonderfully witty names for our Amex Stands.

My serious view:

The West Stand (The Bloom Stand)
The North Stand (The Knight Stand)
The East Stand (The Legends Stand) * Brighton creates a "Legends" or "Honour" Role of names and at the moment you'd probably only have around 20. (Of late only Calderon, Zamora, Bruno and maybe Cullip, Rogers (Oops) and Mayo?
The South Stand (Commercial, a sponsor bringing in a few quid)

Tuna mogul John West should sponsor the South, Basil Brush handyman Roy North the West Stand, referee Roger East the North (if that is allowed) and Southern trains the East.

Sky had a short lived TV series called "Rovers" , a gentle comedy about a small town non league football club, One end of the ground was named after the founder of the club, Stanley Bell. "The Stanley Bell End" was the main stand- Genius
