What has Leicester got anyway??
Full of our Colonial friends.
Sven hasn't won a thing for years and gets sacked after a season at most clubs.
Would you want to live in Leicester or Brighton.

that he would be the MAN in our team, which at 27 and about to hit the prime of his career is what he needs to be

if he went to a bigger club like leciester, norwich or west ham then he would just be another player

I think the other clubs treated him like a player who should want to come to them. Just expected to impress him on status and expected him to want to play for them.

I think Gus sat him down and said, "this is how you play, & this is how we play. This is how it will work with you in this squad playing this way. And these are our ambitions as a club and this is how we intend to achieve them".

We mean business, and he saw that. Thats what I think.

Thanks Greens :(
It might have been that in his chats with SGE and SA, the word 'project' was bandied about too frequently. When he came here, the chat was about football, passion and overcoming adversity...

He simply sat in his office in silence, with a picture of Sven on his right and Allardyce on his left.

Both of whom will highly likely not be at their respective clubs come the end of the season. I think this signing has given the clearest indication yet that Gus is now here for the long term !!

and the money ... according to the Posh chairman, although i suspect that was we were prepared to pay more of the fee up front.

we have the best stadium in the championship.
one of the best season ticket sales.

like norwich, we just romped league 1.

we are financially sound, have a waiting list for tickets.

we are on the up.

we are level on points with west ham and leicester.

the city is a nice one to live in.

eeees complicated, but we will build a team around you.

Gus probably promised him he will take bring him to Chelsea when he becomes their manager in a few years.

Agree, win win situation
Told him will be playing in the Prem in the next couple of years with Brighton and if we didn't make it Gus will take him with him to Chelsea when that nailed on event happens

We are stable. I will be manager here for years to come, Sven comes and goes, West Ham are very unstable, could turn out great, could all go tits up at Upton Park.

We were interested in you since last season and bid for you then, not just now like the other teams.

Unlike Leicester or West Ham, we cannot go and buy another top striker if you start slow, and freeze you out.

We will build the team around you, and you will the number one striker, as oppossed to "one of the strikers"

We plan to go up this season or next season at the latest. If we look like failing on that plan, and a premiership team sees you do well in the Championship and wants you, you will leave with our blessing.

After you sign the contract, we will release your family from Herbert. (family Guy pedophile)
