There's usually a gantry where any visiting scouts/managers go and often they're together.

I know that Hoddle lives locally still, not sure about Strachan. McGhee used to live opposite our training ground until last year, not sure if he's moved to Brighton though?

No you're right Wilts, it's a conspiracy. McGhee is being sounded out about leaving Brighton and managing Reading and Sunderland AT THE SAME TIME! It's going to be a new fad, saves all that nonsense about trying to guess the other team's tactics etc. In return we get Strachan and Hoddle - but they will manage alternate weeks, so one week we'll be flamboyant and crap and thed next week we'll be boring and crap.

I'm pretty sure that in their current state of affairs there are plenty of Sunderland players that (a) don't want to be there, and (b) Sunderland may not want them in their team either even though they're good enough for Div 1.

No, McGhee would have sent Bob Booker to West London on his own. Read Charlie Oatways column in the Preston program for the reason why ! In fact, Charlie probably blagged a free ticket for the 'Loft as well !
