Dark clouds over the Malvern Hills, apparently.

Effectively 22-5, 67 overs remaining

Come on Sussex, every run counts double

Really? I have been wondering how long it would take for the ECB to introduce some sort of handicapping system so that Sussex can compete more equally with the other counties....

Either Machan has been thrown some truly uniques "pies" or he isn't toeing the party line about blocking out for a draw.

Wells bagged 11 off 110 balls - a truly fine innings, yet "Run-a-ball" Machan has 55 off 42 - a scoring rate 13 times faster than young Wells. The Scotsman is clearly hell bent on destruction!

Matt Machan has hit 3 of his last 4 balls for FOUR :clap2:

Nice sensible cricket in the circumstances
He's one of our own. If Machan, Finch and Brown can (assisted by the weather) somehow extricate us this afternoon then that will be extremely pleasing.

Sussex are putting together an unbeaten run from the start of the season to match the Albion's...

I really miss these cricket threads over the winter.

Good work one and all (and yes, I realise it isn't the first match of the season)

I think you're missing the point, it's called The Andy Murray Principle - he's SCOTCH when he gets it wrong, NON-SCOTCH when he gets it right
