I don't think it is a semantic argument because I think the cards probably have to do with how Sparrow plays, so it's like saying he's f***ed over by not being a better player. He was playing quite well at the time but I don't think he's got too many other people to blame at least. I would probably keep him (or Vincelot) over Harley but who knows, I can only assume Gus still thinks he can get more from Harley than we have so far.

I hope you are right - i guess Gus must see it in training everyday - but harley doesnt do it for me. Lets hope Crofts and bridcutt keep fit all season.

two days ago, 6 threads were merged because they all covered the argus interview in which gus bluntly says sparrow and vincelot should look for new clubs because they are so far down the pecking order. Is it really a surprise that Sparrow could be on his way?

Not forgetting that players were told weeks ago who was needed and who could look for new jobs. Andy Naylor has been at the Olympics so is only just catching up.

Do feel a bit sorry for him, but I think the silly red cards haven't done him any favours.

Also believe he has family local, and seems very settled in Sussex, but hes not getting any younger so probably wants to play football. Am sure plenty of L1 clubs will be watching the situation

Not to sure that Poyet was to enamoured with his discipline either hence being advised to find alternative employment

Sparrow is a class player, but if we need to free up wages he will have to go because no one will sign Harley - we are stuck with him for the length of his contract. Spaz is a superior player in all departments.

There's always the chance that the decision Spaz faces is whether to stay and fight for his place, or take a move

I hope he stays and fights for his place and we can ship Harley off to Palace

Put A real shift in against Worthing preseason. Mark of a true pro when you can get motivated regardless of the opposition. As did El-Abd. Neither seem to be first choice right now, but I would have them both on the bench, for those occasions when you need to hang on to a lead, especially away from home.

I don't know what AEA has done wrong, Dunk is so shaky at the moment. AEA is a much better communicator as well.

It did seem a bit daft that we had to replace Harley with Calderon at Swindon, when we had Spazzer kicking his heels in the stand. Oh well, managers choice.

Looks like Matt hasn't travelled to Hull.

El Abd started more pre-season games than Dunk. I'm not convinced Gus put out his strongest team on tuesday, I think his forward line was experimental, Brudge was playing to get game time, and even with injuries, I'm not sure Dicker/Harley/Bridcutt is our strongest midfield line up. I wouldn't write off el abd as first choice just yet.

Sparrow is clearly not first choice. He's been told he won't be used much and should look for a new club. Unless we get a string of injuries/suspensions sparrow won't play for us again.

He was playing his best football for us before he got sent off at the Amex and hasn't really had a look in since. I think he is a quality player.

Whilst we all love our Albion players I can't agree with most of the posts. Sparrow and Harley are both very poor at this level and should have gone ages ago. To a slightly lesser extent Dicker but I can't decide on Vincelot as he has not had a decent run in the team. As for Navs I rated him above all four but as we are going into the Prem it was good to release him so that he could find a good club to play for, which I think he has done. UTA.
