Dave, just go for the BEAMER, its only money.

And no bugger will let you out at sideroads or let you filter in without you forcing your way in (whic you would do anyway in stereotype BMW driver mode).

You could of course go for the Volvo and hog the middle lane at 69mph for hundreds of miles moving for nothing and nobody :)

I always think that the BMW is a symbol of someone that has piled all their spare cash into a car, but can’t afford a decent and reliable luxury car.

If you're looking for a loan, ask Mr 10. He's good for it.

It's a company car, so the only spare cash it's costing me is what I pay to our wonderful Chancellor:kiss:

I'd reckon the BMW will retain a lot more of it's value though.

At least when I was looking at a couple of year old C70 cabrio or 3 series cabrio, the 3 series was a hell of a lot more.

(I went with the BMW, of course)

The BMW will indeed retain its value, but that Volvo will have more space inside, more comfort and more features than the BMW in the same price bracket.

Nice car Dave. Much rather have one of those than the pile of shite Cortina.

Wouldn't have ever offered you a lift anyhow - I only carry people with style....

Let me think...........Porsche/Maserati and a whole heap of older & newer cars for a fraction of the price. You can get a Aston for less?! Know cortina and all but I know what I would prefer.

Am I reading this right? That old car, the sort I used to see rusting around the Estate where I grew up, is worth fifty thousand pounds?

FIFTY THOUSAND POUNDS?

I think you have a serious case of BMW envy :)
