Spanish Dave

His range of passing is very good but I should point out that he did try a couple of cross field long range passes which went straight to Ipswich players including one in the second half in a potentially dangerous position. Having said that he also played the pass for Wayne Bridges goal and is clearly a very accomplished player. Not sure about him continuing at full back because of his defensive limitations.

He did OK but took a long time to get going. A lot of misplaced passes as well as some pearlers. A better side would have tested his defensive ability. He can trap a ball like no-one else in the team. Seems to be getting his mojo back - could make a real difference in the second half of the season but not at RB.

A bit like Orlandi, Spanish Dave has taken some time to adapt and get up to speed but he is clearly a very talented player.

He looked good against Millwall playing there. Hard to tell from highlights what this performance was like but sounds promising from comments on here.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought Bruno was less than steller lately. (not having a moan just saying)

Bruno has been a MASSIVE disappointment recently, I hope it's just injury related, he looks a shadow of the player who arrived here in the summer. Happy with Spanish Dave to keep him out at the moment I have to say.

That is my view Bruno doesn't seem the same player that we had earlier in the season.

Wasn't it Dicker who played the ball to Bridge?

On David, he's been good when ever he's played anywhere except right midfield. When he plays wide he doesn't suit our team as he has no pace - but he has real quality on the ball which is good for the middle of the park. Unfortunately, we can't play both David & Orlandi in the centre

He seems to be our new Vincelot. Versatile as f***. And he can take pens. Good to have.

He doesn't have a left foot to speak of, his only real use is outwide on the right, and he also has no pace, so I wouldn't describe him as versatile in the slightest.

I thought he had broken his neck recently ? Quick recovery

It was suspected at the game, but he was released from hospital that evening and travelled back on gills team coach after they decided it wasn't a broken neck

Cheers. Can't understand why Gus signed him given what you say. Can you elaborate? You seem to know quite a lot about him.

Because he's good playing out wide on the right?
