He supplies inch perfect Hollywood passes to conjure up a win over the league leaders. But apart from that...

Two of the most incisive defence splitting passes you will ever see to conjure two goals out of nothing to beat the league leaders. Spanish Dave? This is exactly what he does. A class act. Great game today señor.

Abort, retry, fail
I hate comments like this, most of this season he couldn't care less but one half decent performance then people criticize others

Was it him not caring or him not hitting form?

He (and others who have been slaughtered) have clearly been doing something right to enable us to be three points off the playoffs with only one recognised striker fit and missing our pacy wingers.

Is he quick? No.
Can he shoot? No.
Is he skillful? No.
Have we seen anything to suggest he's a dead ball specialist? No.
Is he physical?
Is there an end product? No.

Deadline day panic buy, and yet another waste of space in an overcrowded group of mediocre midfield players. His best spell in La Liga? The best part of 5 years ago now for a mid table side, before he soon became a fringe player.

Friday August 31st, the day Poyet killed our season, dismantling a midfield that was looking good up until that point. :nono:

I heard he was born in Rioja
I heard he had a style
And so I came to see him
And listen for a while
And there he was this young boy
A stranger to my eyes

Strumming my pain with his free kicks
Singing my life when the ball curls
Killing me softly with his passing
Killing me softly with his passing
Telling my whole life with his crosses
Killing me softly with his passing

Sorry, but although he had a semi decent game today, in that he made a couple of decent passes, that doesn't make up for the season of shite up to now. Should never have been in the starting line up. Very poor player!

Watching it on telly the fascinating thing is watching Dave looking up two or three times and and waiting, and waiting, for Conway to be far enough up the pitch for his inch perfect pass. Some long passes are really 'put it in roughly the right place, and he'll get there'. But this was sublime - as he was looking up, you knew what he was wanting to do.

I was disappointed when I heard that he was playing but he had his best game of the season against Leicester.

Love posts like this:

"I don't care that he was brilliant and one of the main reasons we won the game. I'd still rather he wasn't playing, even if it meant we played worse, as it would make me right."

You describe the two assists as 'a couple of decent passes'. :lolol:

Regardless of where he has been, what he has done before, he was great on Saturday. As a fan, you can only be incredibly satisfied when a player who has been poor so far, turns in a very good performance. To do otherwise is to just be so blinkered in your own opinion as to be unable to acknowledge when someone has played well.

If Spanish Dave hits some form, it is going to be brilliant for our team, there is no other way of looking at it.
