At 18:13:56 (in brighton) look in the Western Sky and the ISS will hurtle over the town ending at 18:22 in the east. It'll appear to be like an aircraft but won't be flashing like aircraft cos it's lit up by the setting sun and not from any light of its own

You may also be able to see the Space Shuttle as its very close to the ISS although might actually have docked.

Just before dawn or just after dusk are best because its the setting or rising sun that illuminates it

I saw a major bright light streak across the sky last night, and it must have been a pretty big object. Not a satellite or anything I know, but as meteors go it must have been a pretty big object.
