Shuttle first, then the International Space Station (ISS). The Shuttle was obviously dimmer as it is smaller than ISS and has no reflective surfaces.

WOW, loverly. Thanks!

So what exactly are they doing? Why is it following the shuttle?

I was on the beach and saw the ISS but not the shuttle. Very bright and fast moving. Also had a strawberry cheesecake ice cream from Marocco's which was nice.

They were docked together, they separated on Tuesday. The Shuttle is due to land in the next few hours, so if you look again tomorrow eve you will only see the ISS. Actually, clear skies permitting, it should be bright and highly visible for the next two nights.

Didn't see Envisat, but I worked on the manufacture and testing of it so I did see it when it was on the ground enough times!

Awesome pass tonight. The shuttle can't have landed yet, the ISS went past followed by an extremely bright shuttle about 3-4 minutes later. Probably the best viewing so far for me, it was so CLEAR for so LONG.

I cuffing love this stuff.

Thanks-saw the earlier one but want to see it through binoculars and I'm never ready for it.
