Moggy, is that a primary or a secondary? I saw you put made into an academy! I didn't realise primaries were now going down this route.

It's now an all thru primary that is now an academy

Attila's your man to ask. He was brought up there and still lives there - he'll wax lyrical about the joys of fishing from the harbour walls

Glebe is the way forward Moggy!!!!

Can't praise the school enough, then when they leave there over the road is Shoreham Academy, which both my boys attend and that is fantastic they are both excelling and the facilities are second to none.

Another graduate from The Glebe here..........long time ago ('64 to '68) but looking back it certainly gave me a good grounding in the three 'R's - reading, riting and rithmetic.

As part of my "Not really sure what goes on between Shoreham and Brighton" series, can I ask the great and the good of NSC the following:

What's Southwick like to live in?

And - what's the Glebe primary school like?

Thanks.

Very good friends of ours moved their son to Glebe recently. Bumped in to them at the station on Saturday and asked how he was getting on. Got a very good from both Dad and Boy.

Southwick is good. The only problem with it is the lack of a decent boozer.

There aren't really any bad ones now the Pilot and Windmill have gone but The Cricketers/Romans (formerly owned by a Brighton fan, who I think posts on here) and The Ship don't really offer much above an average pub.

I would also say that if you are looking then use the railway line-Old Shoreham Rd-Kingston Lane-Leisure centre as your boundary as anything outside of that is a bit too far away from everything (shops, decent transport, pubs)

Is the Romans not owned by a Brighton fan any more? Last season they were running coaches from there and showing games.

Quite like Southwick, has the feel of a leafy village in some areas. Some nicely built period properties as well.

The guy that was at the Romans is now running a pub in Worthing...

To be honest, I would look at Shoreham first and then if there is nothing that fits your needs/within price then look at Southwick.

I live in Southwick now after living the majority of my life in Portslade and Hove...streets around the Green are very good and close to he Square which has a good chippie and most of what's needed food wise with a butcher greengrocer sandwich shop and a small Co-op.

SUNNY SEAFORD
Seaford is the place to be. Just enough shops, half way between Eastbourne and Brighton, nice pubs, great restaurants and take-aways, miles of unspoilt coast, lovely countryside, no parking charges AND free travel to the Amex.

If the bit between Shoreham and Brighton is a blackhole to me, the stuff beyond Brighton is another galaxy. I genuinely don't (or did not) know where Seaford is. I could not point to it, even approximately, on a map.

I'd keep it that way if I were you.
