Except that the French were there for the taking at 1-1 and were offering little threat until that Gitoud goal. Mbappe barely had a kick. Definitely a huge missed opportunity against a side missing several big players

I agree. After the equaliser that was our moment. Far too cautious in the Euros, especially in the Final too, and a woeful Nations League campaign. There is a case for getting rid, and the feeling might grow that he is not a winner, a nice guy, loyal to a fault. Tricky.

maybe Mbeppe was quiet due to the way we played?
